Casa Tres Patios 28 October - 31 October

Inauguration 18.30 on 28 October

Fragmented Narration is the second part of Rephrasing Memory, a curatorial research project that involves a group of Dutch, Colombian, Brazilian, English and German artists. The main theme in their work is the narrative influenced by memory connected to a sense of society. Memory functions as a fragmented narrative with missing pieces. When one remembers, their memories alternate between imagination and perception. In between the state of remembering and recognizing actual scenes a certain atmosphere is created. The work is connected through hidden shapes, invisibility, migration and cultural influences;

'A missing link that relates the whole narration. The lost object that might be the piece that connects everything like a puzzle. Someone who appears suddenly and then disappears without reference'. The exhibition Rephrasing Memory has been exhibited in 2013 at Amsterdams Centrum voor Fotografie (ACF) in Amsterdam, the WTC Gallery and the Mirta Demare Gallery in Rotterdam and Estudio Lamina in São Paulo. A selection was collected for the second exhibition Fragmented Narration.
